Crossroads looks like a mosaic - many different types of people who come together as one. Just show up on any given Sunday, and you'll know what we mean. It's a community in search of a real relationship with God. We are passionate about inviting people to join us on a spiritual journey. Adhering to a certain set of rules or regulations is not required. We simply want to walk with you on your journey and, hopefully, learn the nearness of God.
We exist to find, serve, and love in everything we do.
Our staff is made up of normal, broken people who in some cases have been hurt by church in the past. We too, are on a spiritual journey. We struggle with the same stuff and celebrate the same victories as everyone else. We raise our kids, go to PTA meetings, work other jobs to make ends meet, drive mini vans, and want to experience a relevant church and a loving God who meets us where we are.
What we believe...
There is a need for a place where people from Visalia and surrounding communities can experience Christian love and grace; a place where everyone can clearly see God's Hand through the teaching of His word in exciting music, engaging messages, and meaningful programs.
There is a need for creative worship environments for every age group. Today's church shouldn't just reach out to one specific group of people. Young people need to hear the Message of Christ as much as seniors and there are un-churched people in both groups.
There is a need for a place where everyone can belong.
Crossroads needs to be a place for all kinds of people; people that are broken, those that have realized that they aren't perfect in God's eyes, and those who have been hurt by religion. At the same time, Crossroads will be a place where Christians can gather to grow deeper in the Word and in their Christian walk.
There is a need for the modeling of a caring community, a place where people can learn what it means to follow Christ through humility, kindness and service.
Our faith...
God: God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These are co-equal and are one God.
* Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, I Peter 1:2, II Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days and demonstrated his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
* Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, I Corinthians 15: 3-4,
Romans 1: 3-4, Acts 1:9-11, I Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13
The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under his control daily.
* II Corinthians 3:17, John 16: 7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16, Ephesians 1:13; 5:18,
Galatians 5:25
People: Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This separates man from God.
* Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6A; 59:1-2, Romans 3:23
Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
* Romans 5:1; 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6; 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26
The Bible: The Bible is God's Word to all people. It is written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth.
* II Timothy 3:16; 1:13, II Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119: 105, 160; 12:6, Proverbs 30:5

CKidz isnt a day care service while parents enjoy worship. With the help of many wonderful volunteers and leaders, Crossroads' kids discover that God has a special plan for their lives. Our goal is to make Sunday mornings the best day of every child's week! CKidz also participates in mid-week activities including outreach events, summer camps, and activites in the CKidz Community Center.
What makes CKidz special...
At Crossroads, we believe the level of teaching children is very important. Much like the adults, we provide trained staff members in every classroom. Not only will kids learn, they will build a relationship with the same teacher every week.
Family is important at CKidz. We want families to get in the car and discuss what they learned that day. How? CKidz teaches in the same format as adults, but it is kids style. Announcements, Bible verse challenge, wild worship, and a powerful story! How are we different? Faith factor games make it even more fun!
CKidz lives the lesson. Each month, we adopt a new mission to serve in the community. Opportunities for family service have included the SPCA, Visalia Rescue Mission, Blind Baby Foundation, and weekly opportunities in the CKidz Community Center.
CKidz love to BARF! We encourage children to Bring A Real Friend to all events and introduce them to New Life!

Backpack Shack
One highlight of the childrens' morning is a visit to the Backpack Shack. While teachers focus on fillling their spiritual needs, volunteers also focus on their physical needs. Every Sunday, backpacks are filled with a large snack for their evening meal as well as clothes, school supplies, hygiene items, or kid-friendly groceries. God is at work in the CKidz Community Center!
The Message
Many of our Center kids experience challenges much too large for their little hearts. Our goal is to fill them with God's Word and suit them with His armor! The CKidz Community Center has joined the Visalia Convention Center teaching team in our challenge to teach the Bible in a year. With God as their foundation, CKidz will experience joy and peace!
Crossroads Men's Ministry
If you're looking for ways to grow spiritually with other men, you have a great opportunity to do so at Crossroads Community Church. You can choose to be a part of the Crossroads Iron Men Ministry whose focus teaches men how to connect, grow, serve, and then disciple other men to do the same, as we all seek to fulfill the Lord's Biblical mission for us to lead our lives, homes, and churches for His honor.
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Prov. 27:17
At Crossroads, we are linked with other churches in thought, word, and deed through Iron Men. We are part of the annual 5,000 Man Breakfast which takes place during the spring where a guest speaker, usually from the world of sports, men from other churches, and those not connected with any church, come together in a non-church environment to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Sunday Mornings
Crossroads is a place where you feel welcomed the minute you enter the Convention Center. Friendly faces, free coffee, good music, and quick exits if you decide it's not for you. We want to get to know you because we value relationships. Bring all your perceptions, fears, and thoughts about church and let us show you that church can be different.
Sunday services are not designed to promote the teaching pastor or the worship band as "superstars". Even though our leaders are on a raised platform, they are no better than anyone in the crowd.
Worship is something we can do individually, but God places special importance on people worshiping together. Whether you are a Christian or not, you are welcome to join us. You can stand or sit. Sing or not sing. We just encourage you to bring a Bible if you have one and come with an open mind.
Our service is one-hour long and always includes a study from the Bible. Kids are welcome to stay with their parents or join one of our awesome CKidz classrooms: nursery (6 weeks-2.5 years), preschool (ages 3-5), children's church (Kindergaten-4th grades), youth (5-8th grade) or our high school group. Our service time is Sunday at 9:30am at the Visalia Convention Center.

There are so many ways that you can help at Crossroads and at various organizations in Visalia. If you're interested contact Cindy Spray at cindy_visaliacrossroads.com or visit Cindy at the information table in the lobby on Sunday mornings, she would love to meet with you.
Thank you for your willingness to help!
We don't pass an offering plate a Crossroads; it's just not something we do. Instead, we put giving boxes in the back and if people feel compelled to give, they can make a donation.
Although our style may be different, we encourage people to support the mission of Crossroads with their gifts. Some people give a certain percentage of their earnings, others give at the end of the year, and some people don't give at all. For us, we think that whether or not, or how much you give is something between you and God. If you would like to talk to us about how you can support the ministries of Crossroads, let us know.
You can also donate online here .
If you prefer to mail your donations, they can be mailed to:
